SECURITY GUARD

Job Summary

The Security Guard will be responsible for protecting customers, employees, company property, stock, and premises while maintaining a safe and secure retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas.
• Monitor customers, staff, visitors, and activities within the premises.
• Protect company property, equipment, and merchandise.
• Prevent and report theft, vandalism, unauthorised access, and other security incidents.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems where applicable.
• Check deliveries and movement of goods where required.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents.
• Maintain accurate security and incident records.
• Report suspicious activities and incidents immediately to management.
• Support emergency procedures and evacuation activities.
• Maintain professional and respectful conduct when interacting with customers and staff.

Requirements

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• Relevant security training/certification is an advantage.
• Good observation and communication skills.
• Physically fit and alert.
• Honest, disciplined, and reliable.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
