An experienced, proactive, and results-oriented Security Manager is needed to lead the security function for a premier multi-business complex that hosts corporate offices and residential apartments. The manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall safety of tenants, visitors, staff, and assets by directing 24/7 physical security operations, managing electronic surveillance, and designing robust emergency response strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve corporate security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Manage all 24/7 physical security operations across the complex, directly supervising and training both in-house and outsourced security personnel.
  • Oversee integrated electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV surveillance, alarm networks, visitor management, and key controls.
  • Conduct routine security risk assessments and spearhead investigations into incidents, theft, vandalism, or breaches, compiling detailed reports for senior management.
  • Liaise with the police, local emergency services, and regulatory agencies while coordinating emergency preparedness tasks like evacuation drills and business continuity planning.
  • Manage the departmental budget, monitor contractor performance, and maintain strict compliance with Kenyan occupational health and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Security Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Professional security certifications such as CPP, PSP, or CSMP are a distinct added advantage.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of progressive security experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity overseeing commercial properties, business parks, or multi-use complexes.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of fire safety and electronic security systems; deep understanding of Kenyan security laws; and exceptional leadership, investigation, and report-writing capabilities.
