JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
Reporting to the Facilities and Property Management & Administration Officer, this position is responsible for the efficient security operation by securing premises and personnel through inspecting the premises and monitoring surveillance equipment’s. The Security Officer inspects the premises and ensures compliance to security policy and procedures and preventing loses or damage by reporting irregularities that may arise such as theft attempts on valuable assets and property. This role also ensures that TDB Group building maintains excellent working conditions by keeping the facilities safe and problem-free and coordinates all security services providers in the premises and submits periodic reports.

Responsibilities
The Security Officer is responsible, but not limited to the following functions:
• Coordinate the operation of all security aspects and to coordinate with service providers.
• Assure full security of the premises and TDB Building users.
• Oversee the Security Command and Control Center.
• Working closely with the Operational Security Consultant on a day-to-day basis.
• Checking and responding to security and safety issues.
• Overlook the functionality of the Security system on a day-to-day basis.
• Overseeing the patrolling tasks of the premises to maintain seamless security protocol.
• Overseeing operational security guards and man guards on the premises.
• Liaising with Diplomatic police unit on civil, traffic, and other related matters involving TDB and its staff members and help staff in need.
• Responds to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions within the premises.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
• Diploma in Criminology and Security management, or related field. An Undergraduate degree in similar field is an added advantage.
• Membership of relevant security professional body is an added advantage.
• Training in police and/or security field is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 -10 years job-related experience from police service or top security firms and proven track record providing security services in a corporate setting environment.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for security and public safety.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.
• Adept in office systems software and equipment including MS Office computer literacy.
• Full language proficiency in English.
