Role Accountabilities
The Security supervisor will oversee all security, safety, and asset protection operations within the mall.
- Oversee mall security, including asset protection, loss prevention, and 24/7 control room operations.
- Conduct regular inspections, patrols, threat assessments, and investigations, reporting findings to management.
- Ensure all security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, electronic fences, communication devices) are operational.
- Manage, train, and supervise security staff and contracted guards, ensuring performance meets standards.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company safety, security, and health policies.
- Coordinate with the Mall caretaker on maintenance, emergency preparedness, and operational alignment.
- Advise the Group QSE Officer on security improvements, equipment maintenance, and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare regular security, safety, and health reports and uphold professionalism, integrity, and company values.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mall security operations, risk management, and loss prevention strategies.
- Proficiency with security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, access control, and communication tools.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethics
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Diploma in Security management, criminology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in security management (e.g., PSP, CPP) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security management, preferably in a retail, mall, or large facility environment.
- Proven experience managing security teams and coordinating with maintenance/operations teams.
- Demonstrated track record in risk assessment, loss prevention, and emergency preparedness
