Sports Kenya is a State Corporation established by the Sports Act of 25th January, 2013 with the mandate to manage and develop national sporting facilities, promote and coordinate sporting activities at the grassroots, county and national levels
Responsibilities or duties
- Interpreting technical standards and specifications to aid the implementation of civil maintenance works procedures for compliance with applicable standards, relevant Work Instructions and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Implementation of capital and operational support activities for concrete works within the Stadium infrastructure to facilitate the flow of business.
- Conducting technical and conditional surveys to ascertain the state of Stadium structures.
- Developing job specifications for infrastructural maintenance works.
- Implementation of the sectional/ unit maintenance plans in order to enhance the reliability and availability of operational areas
- Preparing maintenance works material requirement requests.
- Undertaking performance management reviews for projects assigned to him/ her in order to achieve corporate objectives.
- Participate in the development of departmental annual work plans and the monitoring of their expenditure to ensure works are done within budget.
- preparing of monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports for projects assigned in order to inform decision making within the department.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Professional Membership to Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK);
- Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications.
Experience needed
Minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) at the level of Engineer I or in an equivalent or comparable position;
