At M-KOPA, our aim is to increase access to life-improving technologies at a huge scale. We do this through an innovative credit model – pay-as-you-go asset financing – of which M-KOPA was an early global pioneer. With offices in Nairobi, Kampala, Lagos, and London, M-KOPA serves over 1 million low-income households in Sub-Saharan Africa. Since its commercial launch in 2012, M-KOPA has made its name in off-grid solar power, providing customers with solar panels and solar-powered lights, televisions, radios, fridges, and more – this is often our customers’ first access to electricity.

M-KOPA’s affordable credit model can also be applied to assets beyond off-grid solar power, and in 2019, we began providing credit for smartphones, which enables our customers to move from feature phones to smartphones and improve their connectivity, communication, and information access. Today, smartphone financing is a rapidly growing business line – with enormous opportunities for innovation and increasing our customer impact – and it is the focus of this Strategy Manager role.

JOB SUMMARY

Your application should demonstrate:5+ years designing, configuring, and deploying Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations solutionsStrong background in ERP concepts including supply chain, warehouse management, inventory, and finance operationsExperience managing complex stock movements, reverse logistics, and repair tracking systemsProven track record of end-to-end D365 F&O implementations from requirements gathering to post-go-live supportExperience with multi-phase, multi-country, enterprise-wide implementationsAbility to work with diverse, distributed teams across multiple countriesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision makingExperience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaborationNice to have: Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (MB-300, MB-330), experience with Power BI/SSRS, background in financial services or emerging markets

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing end-to-end implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions, from requirements gathering to post-go-live support
• Designing and configuring Supply Chain Management modules including warehouse management, inventory, logistics, procurement, and manufacturing
• Architecting Finance modules including landed cost, invoicing, tax compliance, and financial reporting
• Driving digital transformation of operations through D365 optimization and automation initiatives
• Serving as the Dynamics 365 expert, advising teams on optimal platform utilization and integration strategies
• Collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Ensuring inventory management meets financial and audit compliance requirements through proper system configuration
• Providing training and support to end-users across warehouse operations, finance, and other business units
