Background
Greenpeace Africa is looking for a highly skilled Senior Executive Coordinator to support the Executive Director and drive smooth coordination across leadership, governance, and strategic initiatives.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, works with discretion, and can manage complex priorities with ease.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the ED’s calendar, travel, meetings, and strategic priorities
- Coordinate briefings, speeches, presentations, and prep materials for all engagements
- Track decisions, follow-ups, and action points across leadership teams
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Executive Director’s Office
- Support Senior Management Team operations, retreats, planning sessions, and reporting
- Coordinate governance activities, Board meetings, meeting packs, and compliance
- Represent the ED’s office in select high-level engagements
- Draft and review letters, briefs, and stakeholder correspondence
- Lead or support key organizational projects and events
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, management, international relations, or related field
- 5–7 years’ experience in senior executive coordination or chief-of-staff type roles
- Experience supporting C-suite or senior leaders in NGOs, international institutions, or government
- Strong project management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential information
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse cultures
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and productivity tools
- Fluency in English. French is a strong plus
