Hiring alert: we’re hiring a Senior Global Director of Country Operations at GiveDirectly.

This is a critical leadership role for someone who knows how to make country offices work at scale. GiveDirectly operates across some of the most complex environments in the world. Our Country Directors carry enormous responsibility, and this role exists to ensure they’re supported by strong, simple, and reliable operational systems, without stripping away local ownership or judgment.

This role sits at the intersection of country leadership and global shared services. You’ll backstop Country Directors, strengthen country office infrastructure, manage risk and compliance across contexts, and help us scale with discipline and care.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has deep experience maturing country offices in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Can operate at a macro level and roll up their sleeves when needed
• Is comfortable holding standards while respecting local context
• Thinks in systems, manages risk calmly, and gets things done with limited resources

We want someone who’s deeply grounded in Sub-Saharan Africa contexts, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by doing the hard, behind-the-scenes work that makes everything else possible.

Remote, with working hours in African time zones (EAT/CAT/WAT).
