JOB DETAILS:

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for administration of the Company benefits programs including pension, retirement schemes, insurance benefits, wellness programs, insurance policies; ensure compensation and benefits practices are current and in line with statutes & companies’ regulations.
• Provide the annual HR budgets input on Compensation & Benefits to the Head of HR-Kenya within set deadlines.
• Work with the Insurance Manager-East Africa to facilitate the annual review process of various HR insurance policies and vendor’s/service providers and make recommendations on renewal proposals to the Head of HR-Kenya.
• Coordinate and oversee insurance contractual arrangements [ SLA] and claim processing including medical, WIBA, GPA, GLA, Travel and Life insurance and any other insurance staff benefits.
• Prepare and process All Insurance claims [ WIBA & MEDICAL], and keep track and records of treatment invoices.
• Compile and share the claims against invoices with the Head HR –Kenya and Finance team every 1st week of the month.
• Provide day-to-day benefits administration services and acts as the key point of contact for the medical scheme. Assist employees with enrolment, access and claim issues as well as final withdrawal from the schemes and provide the associated reports to the Head of HR and finance on a quarterly basis.
• Conduct salary surveys through obtaining market data on the industry remuneration packages, analyse data and make recommendations to Head of HR Kenya and Garda World Management as the case may be.
• Champion Occupational Safety and Health in the organization and facilitate regular training on the same.
• Promote awareness on compensation and benefits through organising periodic trainings quarterly for management & Administrative staff.
• Receive salary and salary advances inputs from the staffing and HR officers, review and submit to finance for payroll processing not later than 11th of every month for salary advances and not later than 20th of every month for end month salary processing.
• Compute final dues for exited staff and forward their files /details/ summaries to finance not later than seven [7] days from the date the staff is declared /considered exited by HR.
• Prepare appropriate payroll reports including all the payroll Analytics and submitting the same to the Head of HR Kenya on a monthly basis.

Accountability

• The jobholder is accountable to the Head of Human Resources - Kenya for the responsibilities stated in this job description and will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through the monitoring of KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree in either Human Resources, Finance or Economics
• Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management; member of IHRM Kenya
• At least five (5) years’ experience in HR with 3 years as Compensation & Benefits Specialist
• Working knowledge in application of labour/ employment laws, employment relations law, employee manuals and handbooks
• Ability to work with numbers, analytical, able to develop scenarios’, with sound business and financial acumen.
• Experience of working in labour intensive and unionised environments.
• Technical skills in Compensation and Benefits, job analysis and HR Policies
