Role Overview:
This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the credit governance architecture of the bank. The Senior Manager, Credit Governance ensures that credit risk frameworks, policies, controls and governance mechanisms are robust, consistent and aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, review and maintain the credit risk governance framework, including policy updates, credit mandate mappings and committee charters
• Ensure credit decisions and underwriting adhere to approved frameworks and delegated authorities
• Lead credit governance committees, provide secretarial support and ensure timely escalation of breaches
• Perform credit quality reviews, challenge underwriting decisions and identify control gaps
• Partner with internal audit, risk management and compliance to embed governance and review findings
• Monitor industry/regulatory developments in credit risk and ensure the bank’s frameworks remain current
