. Senior Registered Nurse (Anesthesia) – Job Group L – 1 Post – 5 Years Contract

This cadre of nurses specializes in anesthesia and perioperative care. Their role is vital in ensuring patient safety during surgical operations.

Job Description

• Prepare patients for anesthesia by conducting preoperative assessments.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia under supervision of medical officers.
• Care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to emergencies during surgery.
• Maintain anesthetic equipment and ensure sterility in theatre settings.
• Provide critical care nursing in recovery rooms and intensive care units.
• Document anesthetic procedures and maintain patient records.
• Contribute to training and mentorship of nursing students in anesthesia.
