Introduction to the Role

Optimise Outsourcing is recruiting a commercially mature Senior Sales Analyst to operate as a direct analytical partner to UK Commercial and Marketing leadership.

You will operate as an embedded commercial contributor influencing pricing, trade spend, promotional strategy and portfolio optimisation. Your analysis will inform real-time trading decisions.

You will be expected to think commercially, not just technically.

About the Client

Our client is a nationally recognised, design-led UK nursery brand with strong distribution across major retail partners and a growing direct-to-consumer ecommerce presence.

They operate in a commercially demanding, margin-sensitive category where:

  • Trade investment is significant
  • Retailer funding structures are commercially complex
  • Promotional discipline is essential
  • Seasonal trading materially impacts profitability
  • Portfolio performance must be actively optimised

They value trust and transparency and work closely with offshore support teams to deliver timely, well-coordinated services.

For GDPR and confidentiality reasons, the client’s identity will be disclosed at the interview stage.

3.The Commercial Mandate

You will provide rigorous, evidence-based clarity on:

  • Retailer and channel contribution margin
  • Portfolio profitability and SKU performance
  • Trade spends efficiency and funding mechanics
  • Promotional incrementality
  • Pricing architecture and elasticity
  • Growth opportunities across customers and categories

You will interrogate performance and recommend action — not simply report results.
