Role Context

The Senior Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting Habitat for Humanity's mission by contributing to program development, implementation, and monitoring. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of new programs and initiatives.
  • Implement and manage existing programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor program progress, collect data, and prepare reports on key performance indicators.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to program staff and partners.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts and proposal development.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in program management, development, and implementation within the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in Kenya or similar developing country contexts is an advantage.

Experience Needed

Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
