About the Role

This is a senior, high-trust recruitment role supporting a founder-led search business working with high-earning, senior-level talent within technology-led companies across Europe and the US.

The role operates under a partnered search model, similar to a legal or consulting partnership. The Founder will always lead the search and client relationship, while you will work closely alongside them to execute searches to a high standard.

You will play a critical role in producing longlists, shortlists, candidate assessment, interview preparation, process administration, and contributing to both internal and client-facing discussions. This is not a 360 role and does not involve managing your own clients independently.

The position requires maturity, discretion, strong judgement, and a process-driven mindset. You are not a junior delivery coordinator — you are a trusted search partner supporting complex, senior-level hiring.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, not a managerial position.

The Model Candidate (What We’re Actually Looking For)

This role is designed for a recruiter who is:

  • Mature, composed, and commercially aware
  • Naturally thorough with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a partnership model rather than owning searches independently
  • Confident engaging senior executives and high earners
  • Experienced in search-led recruitment, not volume or CV-sifting environments
  • Process-driven and comfortable supporting complex searches end-to-end
  • Currently hands-on in recruitment delivery (sourcing, assessment, shortlisting)

You should enjoy doing things properly — building strong longlists, applying structured assessment, and supporting high-quality decision-making rather than rushing placements.

Key Responsibilities

Search Delivery & Partnership Support

  • Work closely with the Founder on all searches, supporting delivery across each stage
  • Assist in shaping longlists and shortlists aligned to search strategy
  • Attend and contribute to internal discussions and client calls where required
  • Support search execution while the Founder retains overall search leadership

Market Mapping & Research

  • Build detailed market maps identifying target companies and talent pools
  • Conduct research into compensation, availability, and competitor landscapes
  • Produce clear, structured insights to inform search decisions

Candidate Outreach & Engagement

  • Support targeted outreach strategies aligned to agreed search plans
  • Engage senior candidates professionally and discreetly
  • Build rapport and credibility with experienced, high-earning professionals

Interviewing & Assessment

  • Conduct structured interviews to assess capability, motivation, and alignment
  • Support interview preparation for clients and candidates
  • Contribute assessment insights to strengthen hiring decisions

  • Prepare high-quality shortlists supported by clear rationale and evidence
  • Maintain accurate documentation, notes, and candidate records
  • Ensure assessment and feedback standards remain consistently high

Process & Quality Control

  • Support and uphold structured recruitment processes
  • Ensure administration, scheduling, and coordination are handled accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Required Experience & Background

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in senior recruitment, executive search, or retained search
  • Experience recruiting for technology-led companies across multiple functions
  • Exposure to senior-level, leadership, or high-earner recruitment
  • Strong background in research-led recruitment and market mapping
  • Comfortable supporting searches across international markets (Europe and/or US)
  • Hands-on recruiter with strong delivery and assessment capability

Core Skills & Attributes

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisation
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Professional, discreet, and credible with senior stakeholders
  • Structured thinker with a methodical approach
  • Comfortable operating in a partnership-led delivery model

  • Providing valuable assessment input that improves hiring outcomes
  • Supporting smooth, well-run search processes end-to-end
  • Building credibility with senior candidates across multiple functions
  • Adding value in client discussions through preparation and insight
