Job Description: Senior UI/UX Designer

Direct Reports: Junior/Mid Designers

Role Summary

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will lead the design of intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences across our products. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to turn business requirements into modern and intuitive experiences. This role involves creating, owning and expanding design systems, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring consistent design quality across platforms.

Organization Reporting Structure

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile applications, from user research to final UI delivery.
• Own end-to-end usability testing and data-driven design validation.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that align with product goals and brand guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a scalable design system and component libraries, and work together with engineers to create a standardized way of implementation
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into actionable design solutions.
• Ensure accessibility and responsiveness in all designs.
• Advocate for UX best practices and champion user-centered design principles across teams.
• Provide mentorship and feedback to junior/mid UI/UX designers.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and new design methodologies.

Design Quality & Consistency

• Adherence to design system standards, design languages and frameworks, as well as brand guidelines
• Own the feedback loop from usability tests and product teams
• Ensure consistent experiences across devices and platforms

User Experience & Impact

• Improvement in usability metrics (task success rate, error rate, time on task)
• User satisfaction and feedback scores
• Accessibility compliance (WCAG)

Collaboration & Leadership

• Cross-functional alignment and handoff efficiency
• Mentorship feedback from junior/mid designers
• Timely delivery of design assets and documentation

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile projects
• Proven experience working in agile product development environments
• A passion for intuitive user experiences

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar)
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and responsive design
• Expert in all things Design Languages and Systems, such as Material Design, Apple HIG, Chakra, etc.
• Familiarity with front-end capabilities (HTML, CSS basics, component-based design systems)
• Experience conducting usability testing and analyzing qualitative/quantitative feedback
• Bonus: experience with motion design or data visualization

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Ability to balance creativity with practical implementation
