About the Role
At Zeraki, we believe in nurturing technical talent early and intentionally. Our Software Engineering Internship Program is a paid, full-time, 3-month experience designed for ambitious students who want to work on real-world problems, contribute to production systems, and grow rapidly in a high-performance environment.
As an intern, you won’t just observe—you’ll build, ship, and learn alongside experienced engineers, contributing to products used by millions of users across the continent.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain backend or frontend features in real production systems
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Debug, test, and optimize applications for performance and scalability
- Contribute to internal tools, automation, or platform improvements
- Learn and apply best practices in software engineering, including system design and testing
What We’re Looking For
- Strong foundational knowledge in computer science and software development
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
- Familiarity with basic software engineering concepts (e.g., APIs, databases, version control)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A genuine passion for building technology that creates real-world impact
Eligibility Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Be in your 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of study
- Must be returning to school to finish your course after the internship
- Available full-time for the entire 3-month program duration
- Able to commit fully to the internship for 3 months (non-extendable)
- Apply for only one intake per calendar year
