Job Summary
The Sous Chef assists in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supervising kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise and guide chefs and kitchen assistants.
• Ensure food is prepared according to approved recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor food presentation and portion control.
• Maintain food hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
• Monitor inventory and minimize food wastage.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained.
• Support the Executive Chef in achieving operational goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Relevant experience in a professional kitchen.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible shifts.
