Responsibilities or duties

Conduct comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for paediatric patients, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents

Manage both acute and chronic childhood illnesses in accordance with established clinical guidelines

Provide specialized neonatal care, monitor growth and developmental milestones, and oversee routine immunization services

Respond promptly to paediatric emergencies and deliver appropriate life-saving interventions

Work closely with Paediatricians, Nurses, Nutritionists, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care

Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

Higher Diploma in Paediatrics and Child Health

Valid registration and practicing license with the Clinical Officers Council (COC)

BLS and PALS certification (added advantage)

Experience needed

Minimum 2 years post-specialization experience in a busy hospital setting
