Position Overview
The Sr. Manager Global Planning & Procurement is a senior leadership role within VisionSpring’s Global Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Global Director, Supply Chain, the role drives enterprise-wide planning, sourcing, and supply chain development to ensure consistent product availability across diverse and resource-constrained environments.
This leader will steward VisionSpring’s global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, shape strategic sourcing strategies, and spearhead supply chain development initiatives, while driving Performance Management ensuring resilience and alignment with VisionSpring’s mission of expanding access to eyeglasses at scale.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. Related master’s degree will be preferred.
10+ years of senior experience in supply chain, planning, or procurement within a global or multi-regional environment.
Demonstrated success in S&OP, strategic sourcing, and global supplier management.
Experience across international markets, preferably Africa and South Asia.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (SAP modules) and Salesforce; Advanced Excel skills and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
Ability to Communicate and operate effectively in decentralized, multicultural, matrixed environments and multiple time zones.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Lead the global S&OP cycle, aligning demand, supply, and financial plans across all markets.
Consolidate regional forecasts into a unified global demand plan, strengthening forecasting discipline.
Optimize inventory strategies to balance service levels, working capital, and risk.
Drive forecast accuracy, scenario planning, and executive performance tracking.
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Define and execute global sourcing strategies that deliver cost efficiency, quality, and resilience.
Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and long-term relationship management with global manufacturers.
Build resilience through supplier diversification and proactive risk mitigation.
Uphold ethical sourcing and compliance with organizational standards.
Supply Chain Development & Strategic Projects
Champion initiatives that strengthen global and in-country supply chain capabilities.
Lead readiness for new product introductions and global launches, ensuring supplier alignment and inventory ramp-up.
Drive optimization projects to reduce lead times, improve service, and lower costs.
Enhance ERP and data systems to elevate visibility, analytics, and decision-making.
Performance Management (Cost, Service, Delivery, Efficiency)
Ensure consistent product availability by aligning inventory planning with demand and delivery requirements.
Monitor global inventory health and mitigate risks of excess, aging, or disruption to safeguard efficiency.
Drive cost optimization across procurement, inventory, and logistics while maintaining service excellence.
Establish clear performance metrics for service levels, delivery reliability, and operational efficiency.
Provide actionable insights on demand, supply, and product portfolio performance to inform executive decisions.
Align global strategy with regional execution through cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence.
