JOB DETAILS:

Position: Steward
Industry: Hospitality / Restaurant

Job Summary:
The Steward will support restaurant and kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with dishwashing, handling waste, and ensuring kitchen and service areas meet required hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with cleaning floors, work surfaces, and other assigned areas.
• Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic support duties when required.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Report damaged equipment, safety hazards, or maintenance issues.
• Follow food-safety, health, and workplace safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous stewarding, cleaning, or kitchen-support experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of hygiene and sanitation.
• Physically fit and able to work for extended periods.
• Reliable, hardworking, and disciplined.
• Ability to work in a busy environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
