JOB DETAILS:

Position: Store Assistant
Industry: Retail / Supermarket

Job Summary:
The Store Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the supermarket by assisting with stock handling, replenishment, organization, customer service, and general store activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with receiving, moving, and organizing merchandise.
• Replenish products on shelves and displays.
• Maintain orderly stockrooms and storage areas.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Help customers locate products when required.
• Report damaged, missing, or low-stock items to supervisors.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
• Support other departments during busy periods.
• Follow store procedures on safety, stock control, and loss prevention.

Requirements:

• KCSE certificate or equivalent.
• Previous supermarket, retail, stores, or warehouse experience is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to handle merchandise safely.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, and disciplined.
• Customer-focused and willing to learn.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
