The Raw Material Stores Clerk is responsible for the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials required for the production of paint at our manufacturing factory. The role requires careful monitoring of inventory levels, timely ordering of raw materials, and ensuring the accuracy of all related documentation.
Responsibilities or duties
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming raw materials against purchase orders and specifications
Unload and store raw materials in designated areas in a safe and organized manner
Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and update the inventory database as necessary
Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely ordering of raw materials to meet production schedules
Coordinate with purchasing department to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to raw material orders
Prepare raw materials for production as per production schedule and ensure timely issuance
Maintain accurate records of all raw material transactions, including receipts, issues, and return
Conduct regular physical inventories and reconcile any discrepancies
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to the handling and storage of raw materials
Collaborate with production personnel to ensure adequate supply of raw materials for production
Performs other related jobs as assigned by superiors
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Completion of a degree or diploma in a related field
Good knowledge of raw materials used in paint manufacturing and their properties
Familiarity with inventory management software and database systems
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience needed
Previous experience in raw material handling and inventory management in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical/ Paint industry
