Strategic Analysis and Models Part-time Lectures
- Apply Porter’s Five Forces: Facilitate industry analysis exercises where students use Porter's framework to assess competitive rivalry and profitability.
- Conduct SWOT and PESTLE Analysis: Train students to combine internal capabilities (SWOT) with external environmental factors (PESTLE) for holistic strategy formulation.
- Perform Value Chain Analysis: Instruct students to analyze a firm's internal activities to identify sources of competitive advantage and cost inefficiencies.
- Use BCG and GE Matrices: Teach students to evaluate a company's product portfolio to decide on resource allocation (invest, hold, divest) using growth-share matrices.
- Develop Scenario Planning: Guide students in creating multiple plausible future scenarios to test the robustness of a company's strategic plan against uncertainty.
- Assess Core Competencies: Instruct on identifying a firm's unique capabilities that create customer value and form the basis for diversification strategies.
