Responsibilities
- Design Green Logistics: Formulate strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of supply chains through route optimization, modal shifts, and sustainable packaging.
- Assess Supplier Sustainability: Guide students in creating supplier audit checklists that evaluate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance.
- Build Resilient Networks: Lead case analyses on how to design supply chains that can withstand disruptions from geopolitical events, climate change, or pandemics.
- Implement Circular Economy Models: Teach students how to integrate reverse logistics and product take-back programs into the supply chain to minimize waste.
- Apply Life Cycle Assessments: Train students to use life cycle assessment (LCA) tools to measure the environmental impact of a product from raw material to end-of-life.
- Balance Cost vs. Sustainability: Develop models and exercises for students that weigh the financial costs of sustainable sourcing against brand value and long-term profitability.
