The Structural Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and supervision of civil and structural works within the manufacturing plant and related projects. The role ensures structural integrity, safety, and efficiency in the construction and maintenance of industrial facilities, including factory buildings, warehouses, and supporting infrastructure. The position also supports product-related structural applications such as roofing systems (mabati installations) and ensures compliance with engineering standards and regulations
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) as a Graduate/Professional Engineer.
- Knowledge of structural design principles, construction methodologies, and material properties.
Key Responsibilities.
- Design structural systems for industrial buildings, warehouses, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Develop designs for steel structures, reinforced concrete, and roofing support systems..
- Produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for structural and civil works.
- Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to contractors.
- Prepare and submit project progress reports and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety policies.
