About the Role

Valkering Impact Group Nederland is seeking an experienced professional to support the fair and consistent selection of students for the Certified Caregiving Assistant training program. The Student Selection Officer plays a key role in assessing applicants, evaluating their readiness, and ensuring that only motivated and qualified candidates progress to training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess applicants for the Certified Caregiving Assistant training.
  • Conduct structured interviews to evaluate eligibility, motivation, and readiness.
  • Verify applicant information and documentation.
  • Score candidates consistently using predefined criteria.
  • Prepare clear and well‑reasoned selection reports.
  • Recommend a fair shortlist of qualified candidates.
  • Uphold integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism throughout the selection process.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in selecting students, trainees, or beneficiaries.
  • Strong judgement and ability to justify selection decisions.
  • Background in caregiving, nursing, hospital work, or care centre operations.
  • Ability to produce consistent scoring and clear reports.
  • High level of integrity, empathy, and discretion.

  • Professional part‑time position.
  • Two days per week, with potential for increased involvement later.
  • Based in Nairobi (Embakasi East).
