Our client in the hospitality industry is seeking to recruit a qualified Supervisor in line with the job description outlined below.

Reports To: Restaurant Manager / General Manager

Location: Karen, Nairobi

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant/bar operations, ensuring high service standards, managing staff on shift, and maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Supervise daily operations during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between service staff, bar, and kitchen.
  • Monitor service quality and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and motivate waiters and support staff.
  • Prepare shift schedules and manage staff attendance.
  • Conduct briefings before service to communicate daily targets and updates.
  • Ensure grooming and uniform standards are maintained.

Customer Service

  • Greet and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where necessary.

Administrative & Control Duties

  • Oversee billing accuracy and cash handling procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels of beverages and service supplies.
  • Assist in inventory checks and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant or bar.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of food, beverages, and service standards.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
