INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT)

TENDER NUMBER IRA/052/2022-2023

TENDER NAME: TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF VIDEO CONFERENCING EQUIPMENT

1. The Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) is a statutory government agency established under the Insurance Act (Amendment) 2006, CAP 487 of the Laws of Kenya to regulate, supervise and promote the development of the insurance industry in Kenya.

2. IRA invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers for the Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Video Conferencing Equipment.

3. Tendering will be conducted under open National competitive tendering method using a standardized tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested tenderers . Tenderer shall be to offer all the solution as a package. Tenderers may associate to deliver the solution as Joint Venture.

4. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during office hours 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the address given below.

5. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenderers upon payment of a non- refundable fees of Kes. 1,000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address given below. Tender documents may be obtained electronically from IRA’s Website www.ira.go.ke  and Public Procurement Information Portal www.tenders.go.ke.  Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.

6. Tenderers who download the tender document SHALL be required to forward their particulars immediately to the Office of Procurement Manager on procurement@ira.go.ke with a copy to fchelimo@ira.go.ke to facilitate effective communication to any clarifications or addenda.

7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender Security of Kes.50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand) valid 30 days beyond the tender validity period.

8. The Tenderer shall provide a well bound and chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted from page 1 to the last page.

9. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 25th January 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Electronic tenders will not be permitted. Hand copies of the tender document shall be deposited in the Tender Box situated at Insurance Regulatory Authority, Zep-Re Place, 10th Floor, Longonot Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi or be addressed to: -

Bulky tenders which will not fit in the tender box shall be delivered to the office of the Manager, Procurement situated on 10th Floor Zep-Re Place.

10.Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.

11.Late tenders will be rejected.
