Responsibilities or duties

Monitor the university pool and aquatic facilities to ensure safety at all times.

Administer first aid, CPR, and other emergency care as required

Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents or unsafe behaviour.

Conduct regular safety inspections of pool equipment and surroundings

Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and safety checks

Educate students and staff on water safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid from a recognized institution.

Strong swimming skills and physical fitness to perform rescues

Experience needed

Minimum of 1–2 years of practical experience in pool or aquatic safety.
