Background information about the job or company

The Incumbent will work as part of the ICT Team to Provide real time Support to Branches, Clearing Dept. & Saccos, ensure customized functionality are tested completed and meet the business requirement before deployment to production and assist in maintenance of bank recommended changes from business in core banking system while performing other related duties as assigned.

REPORTING TO: SENIOR MANAGER - ICT

Responsibilities or duties

The incumbent will perform the amongst others the below responsibilities;

  • Handling of day-to-day ICT problems related to the All the Banking Applications (level 1 & Level 2 support)
  • Identification and recording of identified risks while executing daily departmental activities.
  • Execution of End of Day/Month/Year core systems batch processes.
  • Testing customized system scripts as per users’ requirements to curb income leakages.
  • Interface, Reports development and Migration related activities.
  • Provide real time Support to CTS System user’s during cheque processing and manage their accounts accordingly.
  • Ensure the system resources are available (space is always adequate) and working smoothly.
  • Advise internal users on how to effectively solve business issues by using systems.
  • Adhere to systems monitoring standards.

Qualifications or requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in IT/Engineering/Mathematics/ Statistics or related qualification
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle, Unix/Linux, Java/JavaScript, PHP, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, MSSQL, AJAX, NET.

Experience needed

  • At least 2 years work experience.
