Responsibilities or duties

Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise software applications and database systems in line with business requirements and service‑level agreements. The role ensures the availability, security, and performance of ICT systems while delivering cost‑effective, data‑driven solutions that support business decision‑making, process improvement, and client‑centric service.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Professional certifications (e.g. ITIL, CBAP, Microsoft, Oracle) are an added advantage.

Hands on experience with TurnQuest Insurance Suite is an added advantage.

Experience with ERP, CRM or core business systems is an added advantage.

Proven experience in system implementation, integration and support.

Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies and database technologies (SQL, Oracle, MySQL).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with stakeholders, users and vendors.

Ability to translate business needs into technical designs and practical solutions.

Ability to maintain high standards for data integrity, security and system availability.

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.

Experience needed

3–5 years’ experience in systems development, systems analysis, database administration, or a similar ICT role.

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders on system design and delivery.
  • Design, develop, test and deploy enterprise software applications that meet business requirements using secure, maintainable and efficient code.
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements and translate these into technical designs and solutions
  • Provide first‑line support for business systems, databases, and integrations, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely resolution and SLA compliance.
  • Administer and optimize database systems to ensure high availability, performance, security and data integrity.
  • Monitor and tune database performance, perform backups, recovery and disaster recovery planning to safeguard critical data.
  • Support testing activities (unit, SIT, UAT) and prepare related documentation and user guides.
  • Build strong working relationships with users and vendors, offering expert ICT guidance and service excellence.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and technology innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance standards, service level agreements (SLAs), and security protocols to protect systems and data.
