Responsibilities or duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include: –
- Undertaking practical/theoretical training in areas of specialization in accordance with the occupational standards and curriculum;
- Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
- Setting and marking examination/assignment;
- Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and
- Supervising trainees’ projects and practical work.
- Any other relevant assigned duties.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Requirements:
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
- Diploma (KNQF Level 6) in relevant respective fields of study from a recognized Qualifications Awarding Institution (QAI);
- Been registered by the relevant professional body (where applicable);
- Pedagogy and Practical experience in the relevant fields;
- TVETA License

- Hands-on practical experience
- Strong practical and theoretical mastery in relevant fields with up-to-date industry knowledge on emerging technologies.

- Commitment to Youth Development in the North.
- Demonstrated passion for skills development, mentorship, and empowerment of trainees for employability and entrepreneurship.

UMTI specialises in delivering mobile vocational training. Interested applicants must be willing to work in remote environments and with vulnerable communities with high levels of illiteracy.
