KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare a structured programme of study for each class taught with clearly stated aims and objectives and with evidence of allowing for differentiation between students of different abilities.
- Prepare lesson plans and teach individual lessons.
- Mark class work and homework and assess achievement according to agreed Faculty policy.
- Contribute to curriculum development and assimilate elements of the British National Curriculum as appropriate
- Include in schemes of work elements of information technology in consultation with the IT department staff.
- Attend meetings, including parent consultation meetings, as required, scheduled, and/or necessary.
- Be involved in the duty rota, as scheduled.
- Ensure that the ethics of the school as expressed in the school philosophy are clearly reflected in your teaching.
- Cover for absent colleagues and invigilate examinations as required.
- Promote the image of the school.
- Perform any other duties as may be reasonably assigned to you by the Director and the Core Management Team.

The duties outlined above are not intended as a restrictive list and may be extended or altered to include other tasks that are commensurate with the role as directed by Senior Management.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Be well qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated.
- Hold a university degree in the appropriate subject.
- Have passion for education, innovation and technology.
- Enjoy teamwork, be enthusiastic and dedicated.
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner who can ensure good progress for all students.
- Have a vision for what outstanding teaching and learning looks like.
- Have excellent organisational skills.
- Have a positive attitude and approach to change and development.
