Tasks and responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the grant delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
- Coordinate inputs from consultants, service providers, and implementing partners.
- Prepare annual and quarterly work plans in consultation with FAO, NDA, MoECCF, CoG, and other stakeholders.
- Act as Secretary to the PSC, preparing agenda, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Provide technical coordination and guidance to all project outputs.
- Ensure the logical flow of interdependent activities across the project.
- Oversee and review development of county climate adaptation plans in close collaboration with service providers and national stakeholders.
- Consolidate input for the development of a review report of NAP implementation.
- Ensure technical quality of deliverables, including reports, M&E systems, and knowledge products.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and results in line with the Logical Framework and GCF reporting requirements.
- Ensure timely preparation of progress and completion reports for FAO and GCF.
- Maintain transparent and accountable reporting systems.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project partners.
- Promote inclusive participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in project activities.
- Support organization of workshops, consultations, and the Climate Investment Forum.
- Identify potential implementation challenges and propose mitigation measures.
- Report promptly on any delays or difficulties to FAO and the PSC
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in environmental science, climate studies, natural resource management or a closely related field from a recognized university is required
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience in climate change adaptation planning, implementation, or related work
- Working knowledge (level C) of English and Kiswahili
- National of Kenya
