Role Summary
The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment for technical positions, including engineering, data, product, cloud, and IT support roles. This role combines deep sourcing expertise with consultative client engagement ensuring every hire meets Workforce Africa’s standards of speed, quality, and candidate experience.
You will work closely with internal hiring managers and client partners to translate job briefs into executable sourcing strategies, build talent pipelines, and manage candidates from initial outreach through offer acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Building
- Identify, engage, and qualify high-caliber candidates for technical roles (Software Engineers, Cloud Experts, Data Analysts, DevOps, Product Managers, etc.).
- Use modern sourcing channels LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, job boards, referrals, and talent databases.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of passive and active candidates.
2. Screening & Assessment
- Conduct competency-based interviews and technical screening aligned with client scorecards.
- Evaluate candidates’ technical depth, communication skills, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate technical assessments and ensure timely candidate feedback.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with client managers to define job requirements, hiring priorities, and success metrics.
- Present shortlists with clear evaluation summaries and evidence of suitability.
- Support offer management and onboarding coordination.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track market trends in tech recruitment, compensation, and role structures.
- Generate weekly reports on pipeline progress, turnaround time, and placement success.
- Maintain an updated candidate database and CRM records.
5. Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
- Represent Workforce Africa’s brand positively throughout the hiring journey.
- Maintain professional, timely communication with candidates and clients.
- Support hackathons, career events, and digital talent campaigns when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably with exposure to technology or digital roles.
- Demonstrated success in end-to-end recruitment cycles, including sourcing, screening, and client delivery.
- Strong understanding of technical roles and terminology (developers, engineers, data, product, cloud, etc.).
- Experience working within a recruitment agency or search firm is a strong added advantage, with proof of delivery on tech roles.
- Proficient in using ATS systems, sourcing tools, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- High attention to detail, urgency, and ownership.
