Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to drive the adoption of our Beam & Block flooring systems among developers, architects, engineers, and contractors. This role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver tailored solutions and support the company’s sales and marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development: Identify and convert leads into sales for Beam & Block systems; build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; conduct site visits to assess project requirements.
Technical Support: Provide accurate technical advice on product applications; interpret architectural and structural drawings; prepare layouts and coordinate with design teams.
Client Engagement & Education: Deliver product presentations and workshops; support marketing efforts with technical content; train clients and internal staff on product benefits.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery; monitor project timelines and material usage; provide market feedback for product improvement.
Key Outputs/Deliverables:
- Monthly and quarterly sales targets for Beam & Block products
- Number of new project wins and client conversions
- Accuracy and timeliness of technical proposals
- Client satisfaction and repeat business
- CRM data input and management (HubSpot usage compliance)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical sales or project-based selling in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of precast and flooring systems, including Beam & Block, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sales and negotiation acumen.
- Technical proficiency with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Organized and self-driven with a results-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, especially HubSpot.
