Background
The Siaya National Polytechnic (TSNP) Is A Public TVET Institution Operating Under the TVET Act No. 29 of 2013 In the State Department of Vocational and Technical Training , Ministry of Education, Kenya. It is Situated in Siaya Town along the Siaya –Rang’ala Road.
Responsibilities
- Assembling and maintaining various components of welding equipment.
- Performing regular maintenance on equipment and machines within the Institution.
- Responding to welding emergencies, repairs and welding issues.
- Providing end users with cost estimates and quotes for repairs and maintenance.
- Interpreting blueprints and welding specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with local welding and safety regulations.
- Cutting, assembling, and welding of parts for proper operation.
- Preparing trainee sessions and materials for practicals.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- Craft Certificate in Welding and Fabrication or Welding and Fabrication Level 5.
- A candidate in possession of National Trade Test I certificate in any of the following areas of specialization will have an added advantage: Carpentry and Joinery, Turning and Fitting, Plumbing, Welding and Fabricating or Painting from National Industrial Training Authority or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
- One who is reliable and of high integrity.
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

One (1) position is reserved for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree, while the other is reserved for a candidate with a Diploma Certificate.
