1. Job Purpose
To drive pharmaceutical product sales through telesales channels by engaging pharmacies, clinics, and healthcare providers. The role ensures customer satisfaction, compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, and achievement of sales targets while keeping the Sales/Operations Manager fully informed.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Liaison & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary contact between the company and pharmacies/healthcare providers.
- Facilitate communication with distributors and internal teams.
- Escalate client concerns, operational challenges, and financial matters when necessary.
B. Sales Operations Oversight
- Conduct daily telesales calls to pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals.
- Promote pharmaceutical products and ensure timely order processing.
- Track and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
C. Client & Market Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with pharmacies and distributors.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand client base.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
D. Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Monitor expenses, revenue performance, and client payment obligations.
- Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and reconciliations.
- Support operational analysis and forecasting.
E. Customer Service
- Handle client inquiries, objections, and complaints professionally.
- Provide product knowledge and guidance to clients.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
F. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical sales regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, orders, and client interactions.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies in sales operations.
G. Reporting
- Provide weekly and monthly executive summaries to the Sales/Operations Manager on sales performance, client sentiment, and market trends.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales targets (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Customer satisfaction ratings and repeat business.
- Accuracy of sales records and reconciliations.
- Growth in client base and retention levels.
- Compliance with pharmaceutical sales regulations.
3. Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, Pharmacy, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in pharmaceutical telesales or distribution.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical products and market dynamics.
4. Skills and Competencies
- Proven telesales and client relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and persuasion abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict targets.
- Integrity, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution processes.
- Familiarity with POS systems and order tracking tools.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
