Job Summary & Curriculum Scope
The Board of Management of S.A. Kolanya Boys High School is inviting applications from visionary educators for the role of Theatre & Film Teacher. The successful candidate will foster artistic expression, teach theoretical and practical modules in dramatic arts, filmmaking, and scriptwriting, and direct creative projects and school productions.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Instruct students in the fundamentals of theatre arts, film production, screenwriting, acting techniques, and stagecraft.
- Creative Direction: Direct and coordinate drama and film entries for institutional events, school productions, and national music/drama festivals.
- Assessment & Student Growth: Evaluate student performance through creative assignments, practical demonstrations, and written exams.
- Talent Nurturing: Identify and mentor artistic talent among students to encourage creative careers and personal growth.
- Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
- Education: Holder of a Diploma or Degree in Education (specializing in Performing Arts, Literature, Theatre, or Film Studies) from a recognized university or college.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Attributes: High creative energy, strong leadership, excellent organization, and enthusiasm for performing arts.

- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews on Saturday, 1st August 2026 at 9:00 AM.
- Interviewees must present all relevant original documents, copies, and professional testimonials.
