ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will play a vital role in our perioperative services by working closely with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide scrub, circulating, and recovery nursing support across a range of surgical specialties.
  • Prepare the operating theatre, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
  • Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards.
  • Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
  • Assist in emergency and elective surgeries.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimise theatre efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Mentor junior staff and participate in training and quality improvement initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Nursing/KRCHN
  • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative or theater nursing is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a theater environment
  • A valid practice license (NCK)
  • Active BLS & ACLS certification.

  • Strong understanding of infection, prevention and control standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of collaboration and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ethical practice and professional integrity.
