Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to guide and inspire a team of Tour Consultants. This role is central to ensuring seamless service delivery, efficient booking processes, and high levels of client satisfaction while driving team performance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Tour Consultants to deliver exceptional service
  • Oversee daily reservations operations, including workload planning and performance monitoring
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of quotations, bookings, and travel documentation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Manage bookings within Tourplan, ensuring accuracy in costing, margins, and invoicing
  • Support revenue optimization through effective margin management and supplier negotiations
  • Handle complex itineraries, escalations, and VIP client requests professionally
  • Coordinate team schedules, performance reviews, and ongoing development initiatives
  • Ensure smooth operational handovers and adherence to booking timelines

  • Deliver timely responses to client requests and efficient turnaround of quotations
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in bookings and documentation
  • Drive strong booking conversion and revenue performance
  • Ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient booking processes
  • Foster high customer satisfaction and positive agent feedback
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, accountable, and motivated team

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Tourism, or Customer Service Management
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the tourism industry
  • Strong knowledge of East African tourism products and market dynamics
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in ICT systems (Tourplan experience is essential)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask
