Qualifications or requirements

Minimum Requirements

• 1–3 years of maritime deck experience, preferably in tug, harbor, or vessel operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid U.S. Coast Guard Able Seaman (AB) endorsement
• Basic understanding of towing operations, line‑handling, and vessel safety procedures
• Must be in possession of a valid Passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport should be valid for a minimum of 1 plus years at the time of hiring.
• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

• Assisting in the safe maneuvering, mooring, and unmooring of vessels
• Handling lines and equipment
• Supporting tug operations during towing, pushing, and ship‑handling evolutions
• Performing lookout duties
• Monitoring deck activities
• Communicating effectively with the tug crew
• Maintaining situational awareness

• Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce (Preferred)
• Valid country driver's license (Preferred)
• Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide) (Preferred)
