DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Promote and sell FMCG products to wholesalers, retailers, and other key accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Understand customer needs and provide solutions to drive loyalty.
  • Address customer queries and complaints professionally and promptly.

Territory & Inventory Management:

  • Plan daily sales routes to maximize coverage and efficiency.
  • Maintain proper stock levels in the van, ensuring products are fresh and available.
  • Monitor product movement and report slow-moving or high-demand items.

Reporting & Market Insights:

  • Provide accurate daily and weekly sales reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Share feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences.
  • Suggest improvements in product positioning or promotions based on market insights.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and road safety regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation of sales, deliveries, and cash collections.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Van Sales Man in FMCG sales.
  • Good knowledge of Nairobi GT market and wholesalers.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Valid driver’s license with excellent driving skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Energetic, motivated, and customer-focused.
