Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager responsibilities are:

  • Developing strategies relating to customer satisfaction and growth within the financial sector of the company
  • Conducting researches to fulfil customers’ needs and to also identify new markets
  • Develop a lean scaling strategy that will optimize use of resources and maximize sales revenue
  • Lead the sales planning, development, deployment and achievement of planned targets.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies for accelerating growth with sustained profitability in line with Annual Business Plan (ABP).
  • Analyze sales and stock availability, monitor secondary and tertiary sales on a weekly/fortnightly basis.
  • Motivate, direct and coach business development teams to ensure adequate coverage, improved distribution depth and good visibility.
  • Ensuring perfect execution of the planned marketing activities and activations
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople

Business Development Manager requirements are:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Business Development
  • Young and dynamic candidate who has a good understanding of FMCG Sales & Distribution, and in developing new markets
  • Good overall understanding of sales and distribution
  • Market research and analysis Skills
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport with people of all walks of life both formal and informal
  • Time management and planning skills

 

Operations Lead - Western Region

Operations Lead responsibilities are:.

  • Monitor company's operations and analyze their metrics, such as: cost effectiveness, time, correctness and so on
  • Assist in manpower planning and managing of processing personnel
  • Update on the processing schedules, timesheets and status of processing activity
  • Upkeep of the processing area to ensure cleanliness and safety at all times
  • Schedule routine inspection and maintenance of processing equipment to prevent equipment breakdowns and malfunctioning
  • assure ongoing compliance with quality through standard operating procedures and industry regulatory requirements
  • specify quality requirements of fresh products with suppliers through scorecard rating.
  • Investigating and setting standards for quality, health and safety
  • Encouraging change and improvement in performance and quality
  • Create reports documenting quality errors and issues and CAP
  • Ensure safety measures and procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards
  • Train new and existing staff on occupational, health and safety measure
  • Review and optimize existing operational systems, processes and best practices

Operations Manager requirements are:

  • Minimum Diploma in Food Science or Quality Assurance or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experiences, preferably in the fish processing industry
  • Food industry knowledge is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of the native language /local dialect used in Turkana
  • Dedicated to excellence and detail-oriented execution
  • Must reside in the Western Region

 

Sales Lead

Sales Lead responsibilities are:

  1. Know the competitors and advise on suitable strategies to compete efficiently in the market
  2. Realize sales budget (target) both in volume, margin and market share
  3. Coming up with effective sales methods
  4. Submitting reports to Business Development Manager in a timely manner
  5. Discovering new sales opportunities
  6. Briefing prospective customers about the company's products
  7. Negotiating favorable payment terms with the customers

Sales Lead requirements are:

  • 2 years +experience as a Sales Lead in the FMCG industry
  • Able to hit performance KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Familiar with a sales reporting software
  • Good leadership and organizational ability
  • Problem-solving skills
  • BA/BSc/in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Driving license will be a plus

 

Supply Chain Lead

Supply Chain Lead responsibilities are:

Sourcing

  • Liaise with chicken farmers to come up with a pipeline that will ensure consistent supply of chicken. Preferably more than 500 birds @any given order
  • Negotiate for the best pricing
  • Ensure the consideration of all cost variables during sourcing
  • Conducting market scanning
  • Ensure timely arrival of raw materials at the processing center.
  • Stock management

Logistics

  • Dispatch management - Delivery planning and coordination
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with logistics requirements and resolve issues with service providers
  • Analyze, hypothesize and experiment with datasets to deliver insight
  • Assist in the development of data driven products
  • Fleet management - Coordination of Riders & Truck drivers, fleet efficiency, fleet SOPs and fleet maintenance

Supply Chain Lead requirements

  • Minimum degree in Supply chain management/ Procurement
  • Experience in the chicken sourcing industry is a plus
  • Dedicated to excellence and detail-oriented execution
  • A strategic and analytical mind
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience

Sales Lead responsibilities are:

  • Monitoring operational performance to identify areas for improvement or adjustments in all processing areas
  • Maintaining records of equipment inventory usage, need for repairs and need for replacement
  • Oversight of inventory management and maintenance of an organizational supply chain
  • Keep track of stock in to the aggregation center and stock out to the Nairobi warehouse

Administrator requirements are:

  • Must reside in Turkana County
  • Knowledge of the native language is a plus
  • Atleast 2 years of experience is the FMCG industry
  • Basic stock reconciliation skills
  • A diploma or degree in Business Management/ Commerce/ Supply chain
  • Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
