The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience by efficiently taking orders, serving food and beverages, and anticipating guest needs. This role requires a charismatic personality, product knowledge, and the ability to handle a high-volume service floor with grace and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery:
    • Greet guests, present menus, and suggest specials or wine pairings.
    • Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen using a POS system.
    • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
    • Monitor tables throughout the meal to ensure guest satisfaction and refill drinks.
  • Table Management:
    • Set up and prepare dining areas (polish glassware, fold napkins, organize condiments).
    • Clear used dishes and maintain a clean and organized work station.
    • Present the bill and process payments accurately.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
    • Understand the wine list and beverage offerings to make recommendations.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar staff regarding order status and modifications.
    • Assist colleagues with running food or resetting tables during peak times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma preferred.
  • Experience: Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant required (Fine dining preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to memorize menus and recite specials confidently.
    • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
    • Basic math skills for handling bills and cash.
  • Other: Must be able to stand for extended periods, carry heavy trays, and work a flexible schedule.
