Job Summary

The Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a clean, welcoming dining environment. She acts as the primary point of contact between guests and the kitchen, ensuring orders are accurate and timely.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly.
• Recommend menu items, specials, and upsell where appropriate.
• Check on guests during meals to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
• Process payments (cash, card, mobile) and issue receipts.
• Clear tables, reset settings, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Restock service stations (cutlery, napkins, condiments).
• Attend pre-shift briefings and training sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
• Food handler’s certificate (if required by local regulations).
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
