Role Description
The Warehouse Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Thika, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations for spare parts and related inventory. The role includes managing stock levels, coordinating receipts and dispatches, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining proper storage and labeling of items. The Warehouse Controller will work closely with procurement, finance, and service teams to align inventory availability with workshop and sales requirements, and to support timely customer service. Daily tasks involve supervising warehouse staff, monitoring stock movements, conducting regular stock counts, updating systems, and enforcing safety and housekeeping standards. The role also involves identifying process improvements, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and preparing periodic reports on warehouse performance.

Responsibilities or duties
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy of 98%+ through systematic stock management
- Conduct monthly physical stock counts (spot checks) and reconcile discrepancies within 48 hours
- Implement and maintain proper storage systems for automotive parts categorization
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Parts Manager on reorder requirements
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles, maintaining minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
- Achieve a 99.5% order accuracy rate and maintain an average order fulfilment time under 2 hours
- Supervise the receipt, inspection, recording, and proper storage of incoming parts and accessorie
- Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of spare parts to workshops, sales outlets, and customers
- Implement and maintain warehouse layout optimization and monitor KPIs for warehouse productivity and efficiency
- Ensure proper handling of fragile and hazardous automotive materials

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Experience needed
Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse management, preferably in the motor industry or a fast-moving spare parts environment (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT)
Proven experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software
