About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing warehouse layout, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, and leading a team of warehouse staff.

Job summary.

  • In this role, the incumbent will lead and manage all warehouse operations by ensuring efficient inventory management, logistics coordination, staff supervision, client relationship management, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement to deliver exceptional customer service and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and handle warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory, dispatch, deliveries, and collections.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and shrinkage control.
  • Optimize warehouse space, layouts, and workflows for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure efficient logistics, distribution, and timely order fulfillment.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment, facilities, and operational systems.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external logistics partners to meet client requirements.
  • Creating a professional buy-in atmosphere to keep the client engaged and interested in our services.
  • Drive business growth through building sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile and competitive warehouse pricing.
  • Manage debtor performance in line with finance guidelines and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Enforce health, safety, hygiene, security, and legal compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices, including the 6K space utilization concept.

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years’ progressive experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Sage, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical and results-driven with strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating logistics, deliveries, dispatch, and inventory management.
  • Sound knowledge of warehouse health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels and adapt to industry best practices.
  • Physically capable of handling goods and conducting stock counts when required.

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in the logistics or moving industry is an advantage.
