Scope of Work

The selected provider will be expected to:

  • Discovery & Information Architecture 
  • Meet with CEO, MD & Comms Team to understand what is needed in the new website. 
  • Develop user personas and key user journey flows based on input from GGBC 
  • Recommend an effective site structure and navigation logic 
  • Develop low-fidelity wireframes and clickable mockups for review before visual design 
  • Support GGBC in translating storytelling goals into content layout that supports usability and engagement 
  • Support content audit and migration strategy 
  • User Experience (UX) & Interface Design (UI) Integration 
  • Apply user-centered design principles to ensure an intuitive and inclusive experience for diverse users including donors, partners, and program participants 
  • Develop interactive prototypes or visual mockups to demonstrate navigation and content interaction 
  • Incorporate feedback from usability testing with internal Global Give Back Circle stakeholders and program participant representatives 
  • Ensure alignment with accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1) and optimize interface for storytelling and emotional engagement 
  • Provide a staging link for internal testing before final development 
  • Website Design 
  • Propose 2–3 homepage and landing page layout concepts 
  • Incorporate visual identity consistent with our branding 
  • Ensure an inclusive, youth-friendly yet professional aesthetic 
  • Reference styles of websites we like such as She’s the First, Project Everyone, and Girl Effect 
  • Website Development 
  • Build the site on a CMS platform (WordPress preferred) 
  • Must have a responsive design (desktop, tablet, mobile) 
  • Ensure ADA/WCAG 2.1 compliance for accessibility 
  • Must have seamless integration of: 
  • Blog/news 
  • Multimedia storytelling (videos, galleries) 
  • Resource hub (documents, publications) 
  • Events section 
  • Testimonials or impact stories 
  • Team profiles
  • Must integrate SEO optimization, including metadata and structured tagging 
  • Must integrate easy to use and track Analytics (Google Analytics or similar) 
  • Must have secure user data and ensure fast load times 
  • Hosting & Security 
  • We would like to continue hosting with a US-based partner, Graphic Lux. 
  • We would need a provider who can integrate with the current US-based hosting solution 
  • Implement SSL, daily backups, and uptime monitoring 
  • Develop a backup and recovery plan 
  • Provide documentation for data privacy and data protection compliance 
  • Maintenance & Training 
  • Offer a minimum of 6-months post-launch support 
  • Train Global Give Back Circle staff on content management and troubleshooting 
  • Provide a website manual and video guides 
  • Website Visibility 
  • Deliver an SEO optimization strategy, including keyword mapping and content structuring guidance 
  • Provide graphic templates for easy social media integration and storytelling 
  • Project Management 
  • Assign a dedicated project manager 
  • Biweekly check-ins and milestone-based progress reports 
  • Use of shared tools for collaboration (e.g., Google Drive)

Deliverables 

  • Inception report (including sitemap, content insights, wireframes, stakeholder input) 
  • User personas and journey map summary 
  • Wireframes and interactive design prototypes for review 
  • Staging version of website for internal usability testing 
  • Refinement report post-user testing 
  • Fully functional website with staging and final live versions 
  • Training sessions, tutorials, and user manual 
  • SEO Optimization Strategy 
  • Technical documentation and source code 
  • Final report with performance testing and security checklist 

Proposals will be reviewed based on: 

  • Relevant nonprofit/social impact portfolio - 15% 
  • Technical approach, UX/UI design strategy, SEO Optimization -30% 
  • Team qualifications (with CVs) - 15% 
  • Hosting integration & security capabilities - 10% 
  • Cost competitiveness - 10% 
  • Timeline & delivery plan - 10%
