Background

Braeburn Nanyuki International School is recruiting a Whole-School Assistant Headteacher responsible for overseeing both academic progression and pastoral care across the school from Creche through Year 8.

The role forms part of the senior leadership structure and involves collaboration with the Head of School and the established Senior Leadership Team to drive institutional priorities in teaching quality, student wellbeing, and school development.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Headteacher will contribute to the strategic direction and long-term development of the school through leadership of academic and pastoral programmes.

The role includes supporting curriculum planning and monitoring teaching standards to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality instruction across all year levels.

The successful candidate will oversee pastoral systems designed to promote student wellbeing, safeguarding, and positive behaviour management.

The position requires coordination with parents, staff, and external stakeholders to strengthen community engagement and support student development.

The role also involves monitoring student progress, implementing academic interventions where necessary, and contributing to staff professional development initiatives.
